Total Depravity
When we talk about the depravity of mankind being total, we don’t mean that all humans are as bad as they could all possibly be, just that we are completely unable to do anything pleasing to God because we are infected, through and through, with sin. We are, thus, also deserving of God’s righteous wrath.
