The Cut
I don’t usually get injured or cut up, so when I do, I make notes of it, mostly to track what sorts of major bumps and scrapes I’ve accumulated over my entire life time. This cut’s pretty nasty. There are photos after the jump, but don’t look if you are squeamish.
The first three I took with Bellamy’s camera which doesn’t have a macro setting, I think, and the last one I took with an actual camera with flash + macro. If you don’t want to see gross in somewhat high definition, don’t look at the fourth.
FYI that light red/orange stuff was the mercurochrome solution I quickly squirted on initially, in a panick. The brown stuff is a blend of my blood and the styptic. And the white residue is the adhesive that came off of my bandage that I pulled of to take the shots/replace the bandage OR it’s the bits of cotton that I seem to have healed into the cut. So really, I’m sort of like an awesome android or cumbersome cyborg.

I’ve used Skin Shield liquid bandage on similar cuts. Works great, better than mercurochrome, as it actually seals up the cut. However, it does make your cut look worse/uglier than it actually is
